For many of us the ORC was on the tractor when we bought it and it didn't get a lot of attention.
I ran across this on another discussion group ( I might get sued a little bit) but this shows how to maintain this important link in the drive-line between our tractor and implement ("bush-hog").Mine didn't have a grease zerk so it got ignored for a looong time, It only takes a few minuets to pop the snap ring, shake the parts into whatever you use as a parts washer give it a little grease to hold the parts together and put it back in service after you pump it full through the grease fitting.

No, no suit.
I can tell from the dog eared corner & hole worn in paper at fold that it is the one I put up in 2007. Things have a way of making it around the internet. Maybe it will be helpful to someone. Here it is in a little easier to read form.

(quoted from post at 18:39:11 09/21/10) It may be wise to take very good care of your ORC as there seems to be an attempt to block production of them due to saftey concerns.

K, I'll take the bait/bite your hook......what is the "safety concern"?

Just for the record I have been running a '49 8N and bush hogs, thru some amazing stuff, and places, for 27 years, and I have never owned an ORC.

Just cause I do, don't mean you can, or that you should.

I don't have all the details but it has to do with them being left on tractors without any protection and not being covered when they do have an implement attached. We have a bunch on back order and are trying other suppliers to try and get some in stock.

ou no doubt realize that when & if everything is made 'idiot proof', then there will just be a better idiot!

I don't have one, but would like to get one. Can anyone recommend the best brand? I have read recent posts of ORC's that "blew up" and also many posts about inferior imported products. I would like to be sure to buy the best one. Also have a question on "PTO shield", sounds like a very good idea, but what does one look like? Can someone post a pic of a "PTO shield" for a NAA?

Thanks
