I agree. chain was run too loose for too long. Each link rides out of the sprocket farther than it should, then slams back down against the bar after it comes out of the sprocket. That happenging thousands of times is what caused the bar to dip out.

I don't know if it's true for that bar, but some bars have a replaceable tip. My personal experience is with Stihl bars that the whole last several inches of the bar along with the sprocket can be bought for a good bit less than a whole bar. It's held on with three rivets that come along with the tip. I don't know if I've had one get that worn, but I do notice that my bars seem to show wear in that spot first.

I find that if I can get a roller tip that you can grease bar won't wear like that.

as everyone else said bar is shot get the whole new one,,,the rest of bar is prob rolled over on edges too

The tip is pretty well shot, but the rest of the bar may be saveable. Clean the bar grooves, clean the oil hole, dress the rails flat and see if the chain rides down in the groove at full depth. If it does, and it's not bent or one rail lower than the other, a new tip should let you run it okay. Used to be we ground bars square on a special jig. We also used to go up a gauge in chain size when the grooves got sloppy, ie- from .050 to .056. or .056 to .063. Not sure anyone still does that.
