l recently bought my 856 from the original owners grandson.
856 serial number 23625, sold by LaRue Equipment in Troy Mo, in 1969 and the serial number is 1969 year. l would like to find any documentation, the owner was Russell Monroe.

Any documentation would most likely be with the original owner's family. Nobody else would have any reason to have it.

they had the owners manual, but they couldn’t find the paperwork.
l may try the Wisconsin historical records
Hello Simangus1, welcome to YT! I’m with AMF in reply 4. I don’t think you’ll find anything in the WHS that has info on individual tractor sales/buyers. I think the best you’ll get is to possibly find out what month it was manufactured. I have never went swimming in the WHS archives, but all I have ever found, for example is; Jan. 1969 production started with X SN, Feb. ‘69 first tractor off line X SN and so on. Nothing like JD, where they tell you the dealer it shipped to. Good luck, hope you prove me wrong.
Is the user name derived from Simmental-Angus crossbred cattle?

yeah we are very familiar with JD and the availability of records. l was just hoping to find a bit more. l might try UCC and see what was recorded if anything.

yes Simmental Angus our preferred cows

Even with JD the purchase contract is with the selling dealer or original owner. The dealer that sold dad the 4010 I have today was sold by a dealer that retired out of business in 1965. Fortunately, I do have the contract and the financing note with the local bank.
