Somebody placed this part in the fork of a tree many years ago and the tree grew around it. I'd noticed it about 15 years ago, the tree finally rotted enough for me to pry it out today.
Looks like some kind of adjusting arm, I would guess for a planter or cultivator. Supposedly they grew cotton here many years ago, about 90 miles NW of Houston. Any idea what it is?
