Boy howdy !. The price of crude oil is at a long time low. Us guys in Canada are getting (no delicate way to say this) screwed. Last week I saw that the U.S. price per gallon was in the $2.90 per gal. range. That equals approx. $.76 per liter. Just filled up yesterday at the lovely $1.21 per liter.. Keeping my back to the wall as best I can.

Well, maybe this helps. Crude is low, gas is low... and diesel is still high.

Refining diesel is not as much 'less to refine' as years ago. ULSD has increased the cost of refining. Refiners do 'pad the margin' on diesel and other products to somewhat 'subsidize a lower price' for gasoline. There are a lot more car drivers by sheer numbers than any other group that the oil companies market too.
