In an earlier post I wrote about speedometer not working right on a 1994 Dodge Ram 1500. We changed the sensor on the transfer case but speedometer still only works some of the time. Transmission shifts O.K. including into Over Drive. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
 
Intermittent connections are tough to find. Start at the sensor, and follow the wires./connectors there is corrssion, or a break somewhere. The supply voltage could also be intermittant. Use a diagram to assist. JimN
 
Did you pull the complete assembly out of the transfer case or did you just replace the sensor? The assembly is on an eccentric and if is like my Dodge, when I had the transfer case rebuilt the guy didn't put the assembly in correct and the gears didn't mesh and the speedometer didn't work.
