OT: Ford Chainsaw

I remember seeing them at the local Ford Tractor dealer when I only had my '51 8N (Nellybelle) and when I bought my '71 Ford (Jacobsen) lawn tractor. They also had push mowers and, I believe, string trimmers.

No but I do have the belly mower for a Bush Hog riding mower.

Sold the mower to a guy years ago to pull boats in and out of the water at a marina.

We sold them at the Ford dealership in the early sixties.

Ford dealers sold chainsaws, push mowers, riding mowers, torpedo heaters, log splitters and lots of other items, all painted blue and labeled FORD but made by other companies just like the Craftsman items sold by Sears.

I have seen the riding mowers. But I didn't know Ford made (Or I should say, 'Name Branded') all the other stuff.

You see Ford snowblowers here fairly often on CL
I almost bought one a couple of years ago. About 24" wide.
I use a Ford (Jacobson) lawn tractor to mow my lawn. It's a 1973 LT 75.
I rebuilt the engine in it a couple of years ago.

(quoted from post at 18:23:17 02/01/15) it appears and likely is a remington , though I,m not 100% certain.

Most likely IS a Remington. My dad had one just like it, only his was painted green and came from a John Deere dealer.

Yes there where chainsaws offered through the dealerships, there were 3 models offered I have all 3. There was the Hawk which was the smallest, the Eagle 1 & Eagle 2. They were made by Olsin & Rice in California

This is my walk behind snow thrower with cab made by Ariens for Ford & my 100 with Ford cab & 2 stage snow thrower. Both cab & Snow Thrower are NOS & has never had snow blown through it

(quoted from post at 03:14:01 02/03/15) Also sold gas powered waterpumps, high pressure electric pressure washers, gensets. I have a genset.
I have everything that was offered by Ford of the small stuff, 100amp welder mowers trailers heaters etc. but I'd like to get 1 of the 3 generators & the water transfer pump. Are you interested in selling your gen.? I know of 1 but my buddy still uses it but I'm suppose to be 1 to get it when he sells it.

I have since added some items since this pick was taken another pressure washer the smallest trailer offered & another wood splitter the "home owners version" which was narrower axle, plus more

WOW , What a Great collection. Think I seen your house in North
Carolina before. It's the blue one with FORD written across it, Right?
Just kidding. But again, Great Collection. Love it.
