OT, Kerosun Heater question?

I have a Kero-Sun Monitor 20 Kerosene heater. I need to replace the glass ( 1 1/2" x 2") on the firebox ( right near the flame). I was wondering, can I get a piece of regular glass cut or do I need a special piece because of the heat? If I need a special piece, any ideas where to find one? Thanks!!

There is a glass made for fireplace fronts. That is probably what you need

Although Kero-Sun no longer sells their (excellent) heaters in the US, you can still get parts for them. The Toyotomi company owns the Kero-Sun brand. Their web site lists a couple of "mica windows", is this what you need?

Clear welding helmet lens might just do the trick!
The heaters are great, I have two. They do need ventilation to be safe. JimN
