OT. Mount Rainier

This is our third week of a big vacation. My wife got breast cancer a year and a half ago and always wanted to go to Alaska. Her cancer is in remission now so we did go to Alaska, then spent a week on a cruise ship, and are now in the state of Washington. This morning we are in Yakima, Washington and would like to go see Mount Rainier. My cousin who lives here said that we must drive way out of our way because the roads are closed due to heavy snow at the higher elevations. Washington and Oregon have many beautiful sights. Hope to fly out of Seattle and back to North Missouri tomorrow. I was afraid my little 6 volt 2N may be missing my being gone so long. Kidding of course. B. Jones

Congrats on your wife"s cancer in remission and on being able to go on such a trip. My mom lost both of her breasts to cancer in late 70"s- early80"s and it scared me and my two sisters to death! Speaking of the snow, my daughter sent pics on facebook from Spain of the Sierra nevada with snow still on the peaks! My wife went to Alaska as a travel back in early 80"s and thoroughly enjoyed it . Couldn"t believe the low temps/low humidity and cold there in comparison to s.e. Virginia where the humidity runs almost up there with whatever the temps are. Not bad today, about 84 and low humidity. Enjoy the trip adn be safe.
