This is my first year planting any kind of row crop and doing it with a JD494 planter set at 30" rows. Here are some pictures of the soybean I planted last Saturday. I planted them at 30" and then split the rows again to get 15" rows. At the end of the field the planter turns a bit inside the tractor so my 2nd pass acually replanted over the first pass. My question is sould I plant some rows across these to get the plant pop up and help this end of the field canopy over quicker or will I have to many plants to close and choke out the ones that are already in. Also I have almost a full extra bag of seed so unless I use it, it's wasted. Thanks
