OT - pto shaft spring

refurbed my Woods Rm59-3 and found the pto shaft release button spring is broken or missing. How do you get access to the spring/spring chamber?

They make repair kits available at Tractor Supply or Woods dealer.....

There should be some type of little clip on the opposite end of the shaft that you press in with your finger as near as I can remember. I have had them out but it has been awhile back.

hopefully yours is the clip style. I have seen some cheap ones that they swagged / staked the metal after insertion of the push pin and spring, thus making it near impossible to take apart non destructively.

ditto on tsc having -some- spring / pin kits on the shelf.

Thanks all. One of the others I have is acting up so I'll see about replacing or cleaning that one also.

opposite problem - mine is pretty froze - gotta use a mallet to tap the pin in and out...

I'm planning to purty up my woods this fall, did you do a paint match? If so, do you have color codes?
