OT Rainfall

Just wondering how your crops are doing? We were in dire straits until last night happened to give us .75 inch of rain. Not out of the woods yet, but good for another week now. Don

We were getting about what we needed until a couple weeks ago. Didn't mow any lawn this week as it is quite brown and dry. Things change in a hurry when the temp is in the mid to upper 90s. Crop is in good shape yet but an inch of rain would let me sleep better...E SD.

Ive had a total of 5-6 inches of rain in the past 12 months. Virtually no dry land crops made and the irrigated is not making anywhere near what it should. Sale barns are getting big runs of cattle. Our yearly average rainfall is supposed to be 28 inches. Tony

Nothing here for a couple weeks, crop pretty good but stress is showing. A cooler week coming will help but sounds like the temp goes hotter next week again. On a good note this should give me a nice week to harvest wheat and bale straw, but I would rather we have a nice rain, Rod.

We are soaked here on the north shore of Lake Ontario. Good time to be wearing sandals, cause the water can run in one side, and right out the other.

Took this picture at 7am July 25. See the water puddles in front of the barn. They havent been dry in a week.

North Central Oklahoma is in bad shape.I mowed the lawn 2 months ago, my shade tree on the west side is dropping the leaves, pond went dry 2 months ago so I'm hauling water.Lost two cows, hay field made 1/3 of last years crop.Other than that, it's a wonderful world!!

Harrison County in Southern Ind seems to come up short from all the rain , BUT This evening We finally got a LITTLE run Off into the ponds. The last few mornings I could walk out with coffee in hand and track the runoff trail halfway thru the pasture until it peters out. The rain we did get were slow soakers that did tremendous for all crops. My pasture was browning on the clay knolls. Now it is green and Happy.
