OT-Ravens

For some years now, we have been leaving our table scraps out in the front lawn, you guessed it , the Ravens come and get the stuff. They do not like carrots. They are fun to watch, and I 'almost' feel bad on a non day - they cruise the site 3 - 5 times a day. Anyhoo, yesterday I put out the remnants of (about the equivalent of a can of Friskas) cat food that our 18 yr. old nuisance refused to eat. In comes #1, he pecks at the stuff, a minute later in comes #2, #2 waits until #1's mouth is full, takes the container (the bottom 1/2 of Chinese takeaway), empties it on the grass and finishes the job. Those guys are Kool ! AND, Smart. Just sharin'.

The crows around here are a nuisance around here. In town they get into the garbage bags, on garbage day, and make a real mess. They even run off the raccoons that are looking for a free meal.

I think it's ravens, maybe crows, don't remember, but somewhere they were trying to eat some kind of nuts, but they were too hard to crack.

So they would put them in the street, let cars run over them, then go back and eat them! Pretty smart!

I have been known to shoot a ground squirrel for them once in a while.
