when i replied to old's posting this afternoon it was just cold. well when i was finishing chores it started to rain which turned to snow 8 o'clock.

We got .16" of rain this morning in western KS, and we could use a lot more.

Got rain or at lest some here in east TX, if you want it to rain, try going and disking or plowing(which works better) a fallow field which might work (it does for me.)

Old Iron - where in western Kansas did you get rain???????????? We had enough here in SW kansas that it THOUGHT about getting the pavement wet!!!!! Thats all here!!!

Ken 46,... Phillips Co., I don't have my rain gauge up yet (for the season), and the .16" was reported by a neighbor.

Wasn't even enough to make mud here, but we needed every drop.

you guys are making me think i ain't as bad off as i think. we have lots of mud not because we have had
lots of rain but has been to cold for soil to dry.
we are short on rain fall too that is hard to believe as creeks and rivers are running high. yet we are told ground water is short.
i don't know of any field work going on yet.
