My 4 year old granddaughter "helps" out at one of the local schools that has a class for hearing impaired kids..for her assistance, she gets an opportunity to learn how to sign with the other kids..they spent the last few weeks learning about farms, farm animals, and how the food they eat is produced.

I was given the privilege of being allowed to show them one of my tractors, as part of their farm learning experience.

I told them (with help from the teachers) that I would post a picture of them on a real tractor/farm website....they all thought that was cool...

Some of these kids are just beginning to hear sounds that we all take for granted each day...

Well done! I wish the schools in my area would try and make more of a connection to our rural roots. As it is, I pull my kids out of school for a day to attend the annual Farm Show as well as an afternoon at a livestock auction.
