Our Pony

This was our pony, Peanuts. The kid is my younger brother. It was a really nice horse for the kids,
but was my brother's special pet. Dad made up a harness and built a small tobaggan to haul firewood.
Our country school had a horse barn for keeping the kids' horses during class time.

That's a beautiful pony and obviously, a great memory for you. You were a lucky boy to have that to work/play with. Although I've owned a few horses as an adult, I never owned one as a kid. So, when I was a kid, I had friends who had horses and I hung out with them a lot.
