Overall Height

Can anyone provide the overall height of a JD 620 and a 730 with exhaust? Looking for what I need in clearance for a shed or
garage.
Thanks in advance!
Karen

Yes, I looked that up on tractor data, lists 88.25 as the height. Just wanted some confirmation on that. A garage is in my future
and I'm trying to look ahead to the possibility of getting a tractor and I want the tractor to fit.

It sounds like this will be a new building or addition, not putting a door in an existing building with structural limitations. That being the case I wouldn't go with less than a 10 by 10 door and about a 12-foot ceiling. The extra room won't be a hinderance to doing things but being tight on height or width is.

The type of muffler is the issue, and I don't know about a 730. I have a 630 and a 620. The 620 has an oval muffler and will fit in a lower door opening than the 630 which has a round muffler. I have one door that I can back the 630 in, but it will not clear the exhaust if I drive it in forward. A few inches will be the deal breaker on a door opening and the muffler type will be the deciding factor on the 620/630.

Funny you mention muffler type. Recently I learned something about my 620. I took the muffler off it and temporarily put it on my unstyled A and the muffler was a few inches shorter than the intake stack. Thought that was weird because I thought the unstyled A used the same as the 60 620, ect. I measured the 620 muffler and found it is actually a styled A muffler which is a few inches shorter than the unstyled A and original 620 muffler. I'm guessing Grandpa put that put this one on so it would fit through the shed door because it's a close fit even with the shorter muffler. Which also makes sense why this muffler has the dent in it for the steering shaft on a styled A
