Overhaul

Looking for somebody in Michigan to overhaul 2-53. Want to get some HP. Any suggestions?

Plenty of tips here if you search. 50HP at 1800rpm is no problem and doesn't smoke excessively.
75HP at 2400rpm is certainly attainable.
What are doing to keep the driveline intact?
N and C series components are required for a start.

If your near Hastings we have 2 places that do excellent work and wont gouge you, They both are fair and trustworthy, Dan Scott is one ,the other is Miller Farm Repair

2-53's Had About 32-35 Hp.. They Came In The John Deere 435's And 440's Tractors And Crawlers... I Rebuild Mine About 5 Years Ago And Got My Parts From The Local Detroit Deisel Dealer...

Have a new 1010 rear. Would like 60HP neighborhood. Know about parts availability, just looking for someone to do the work. I really want the governor to react faster than they normally do. I have see a couple of them pull that when you touched the throttle, they reacted immediately. Thanks for the replies.
