paint for New Idea manure spreader

Cant give you the paint numbers but the Orange is called Bittersweet and is avaible from some companys off the shelf. But at A price that I cannot afford so I used Case orange that I had here on a couple of hay rakes that I rebuilt and sold. The dealer That I sold them to thought it looked pretty good and they were the steel wheel New Idea rakes and they were only on his lot for two weeks before he had sold them. The Oliver green is fairly close and I used that till I ran out then I got some RUST-OLEUM gloss Hunter green to finnish and I could not tell the difference between the Oliver green and the Hunter Green except the RUST-OLEUM dried a lot nicer. I only use the rattle cans as have no luck with a sprayer and when I am only painting a couple of small pieces at a time cleaning a gun would loose more paint than the extra price of the rattle cans is.

I currently had my New Idea 212 spreader in my garage for some web work, and decided to paint it up now while I can, since it's usually being used daily on our farm. I also was hoping for a correct orange and green, but when I went to my local ag place, they said the closest I'd probably get is Allis Chalmers orange and Oliver Green. Bought some Allis orange, and sprayed a spot today to see how it looked. Looks REALLY bright to me, but then again the paint on it now is probably original, and I have no idea how it probably looked when it was new. It's been on my familys farm since I was born, and has looked like this for as long as I can remember. Do you think this orange will look okay? And Oliver Green will be dark enough? I thought about getting some Home Depot generic Hunter Green because it looks a little darker than Oliver green to me, but I really love the way this Tisco paint lays out, that's the only reason I'll probably stick with the Tisco Oliver green.

Spreader looks like this:

And this is the Allis orange I bought today.

Well I ended up going with a Rustolium Hunter Green, and Allis Chalmers orange. Doesn't look too bad to me I suppose. Wish I could find the correct NEW IDEA decals and warning stickers for it. Probably just going to have to come up with a stencil and paint them on.

Here's two very crappy cell phone pictures of the orange/green combo.
