Paint sources- wheels MF165

Need alternate sources of paint for wheels on MF165.

Agco can supply but could be months.

Paint code is 1037 and called Silver Mist.

PS: No Tony I didn't get another tractor, it belongs to a friend.

Painted my 165 last year with Silver Mist 3620504M5
Ordered it from my agco dealer and it was there the next day.

Don't you have a dollar store Harry? I hate having purist throwing rocks at me, but really, a year from now you won't know the difference between the proper pigment and plain aluminum rattle cans. And I don't see any difference in qualities, except rustoleum. I buy the rustoleum cans that look the closest to the orginal. In two years conisuers won't know the difference. I presume this won't be a carport queen parade tractor? The cows and ranch guests won't know the difference either.

Tony, I told you "It isn't my tractor!".

You know you are my role model, my Ferguson was still in primer when I sold it, which is OK, the new owner says he is going to paint it yellow.

Oh I know, it is the one in the back row at the ranch, I memorized your snapshots. Go to that big army navy store in Kamloops, get some silver spray cans. Don't get any on the tires. It would be a nice 'economical' Christmas present for your friends. Except for the gas getting to Kamloops.... did you see my 165??? Maybe he'd rather paint it like mine????

Gotyea! Pictures of the 165 or my 135 have never been posted but you do get points as there is a 135 and another MF at the ranch.

My upbringing and education have NOT prepared me to comment on a blue and yellow 165.

By the way, there isn't an Army & navy store in Kamloops, just Surplus Herbie's!

yepyepyep. Surplus Herbie's. I couldn't think of the word 'surplus' last night, around here they call 'em 'army n navy'. That place is the best...only? selling point for moving to Kamloops!
The rustoleum yellow is a bit 'richer?' than the original NewYork highway yellow, but their navy blue blended right in. People think I painted the whole thing like this, but I just salvaged the factory blue and touched it up. Thanks to David and all the others on here who beat the bushes- and found Fawcett's, in 60 days it went from scrap iron to a swiss watch... that just 'looks' like a mickey mouse watch....

Rustoleum spray cans of "Hammered Aluminum" work great, look excactly fine, plus all the drips and runs make it look just like real galvanizing. My opinion.
