Is there two shades of grey paint for the n's,and 53-57 Ford tractors?

The reason that I am asking is I see some that are darker grey,and some lighter grey,closer to white. I plan on the lighter grey when I do the painting of my 600,but want it to be correct.

Actually I'm pretty sure there are three. But go down to the 8n forum. Dollar Bill is building a list of paint codes and he has the correct one for your 600 for three different brands.

9Ns were dark grey, no red, started in 1939 thus the 9 as the last # in the year. 2Ns were made begining in 1942, dark grey no red, they were war time tractors with no starter batt or generator. Both 9N and 2N had the big rear wheel hub. 8Ns were light grey sheet metal with red castings. They started in 1948.
