Painting after cleaning ?

I cleaned the tub/frame with a fume free oven cleaner so I can paint inside of tub before putting engine back in. At this point I want to sand prime and paint. My question is, should I do anything special to prep the tub before I sand prime and paint? The oven cleaner didn't pull any of the old paint and I will use a good solvent or thinner to wash before I put any primer or paint on. Thanks for any advice and help, also thanks for the advice about using oven cleaner.
