Part Interchangeability - OS4 + H

If I recall the OS4 is just a different configuration of the base design used for an H. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

I was wondering if I could swap a couple parts to put the hood off of the orchard tractor on the rowcrop H. The reason I ask is because I have to remove the muffler when I drive into one of my sheds.

Or can I do that exhaust configuration with my current hood?

Look for one like off an old combine they would set horizontally then turn vertical or the exit would be horizontal. Could add as much pipe as you needed to clear the hood with no modification to it and not over heat the paint.

The hoods are different. Grill is different, steering goes through the hood on the H, not on the 4. Don't waste a perfectly good -4 hood.

Get a muffler for a 403 combine, I put one on my H for that reason . The exit pipe comes out the side of muffler.

Btw I didn’t notice that about the steering. One day I’d like to add an OS4 to my collection. I like the lines on them.
