Parts Help

I spent an hour with my case guy yesterday (or should I say wasted an hour) trying to get parts for my DB 880A (1966 year) for my clutch R&R. The parts guy is new and said there are no parts for the 50 year old tractor. I had the floating disk resurfaced to smooth out the heat cracks and am having the clutch disks rebuilt. How do you get the pressure plate resurfaced? Do I have to take it apart or is there somewhere that can rebuild it for me? I would like to replace the throughout bearing and bearing that goes on the inside of the pressure plate but am being told they can't get new bearings. Where can I get them? I may just reuse the bearings I have, they seem to be in good shape. This site doesn't have the parts I need either.

I am also looking for a tachometer and cable. Is there any way to resurrect the tachometer I have? I still need a cable but may be I could restore the tachometer.

There are lots of folks who specialize in rebuilding clutches . Contact John Saeli here on the board for suggestions. You might also look at a Sparex Catalogue, They would likely have DB parts ....

Tell your parts guy to go jump off the highest building he can find.


You can look the part numbers up yourself through the Case online parts books.

Part number K19169, which was replaced by K620153, should be $32 or so, it is a fair bet they have it on the shelf and don't even know it. (assuming it has a borg and beck clutch)

The one in the pressure plate was K89325, which was replaced by 556883, Probably $43.

Only your machine shop can tell you how far they would far they would want the pressure plate torn down.
