Will a four speed transmission off of an 8N ford interchange with a 4 speed on a late 66 model ford 2000? I am trying to get the ford 2000 back going. Reverse is broke!
 
NO plus if it would it would not handle the extra HP long. Now one from a 601/641 or a 801/841 might if it is the older model 2000 as in the one with a 4 cylinder engine
 
I researched the gears for both tractors and found that the numbers were the same on the gears themselves. Same part numbers. That was the reason behind my questioning. Thanks.
