Party, anytime. for any reason

We were out to dinner with our eldest son and his family, yesterday. We were informed that they are coming to our house on Jan 1st for a party. Oh?
We did not relate that it was 25 years ago, Jan 1, that they came home from Hawaii, our son's last duty station as a marine.
When they came home, I had had a large banner made with a palm tree on one end and a pine tree on the other welcoming them home. It was staked in the snow between two t fence posts.
We took pictures then and then again 10 years later in the same spot. They want to do pictures again. OK! Let's party!
