Pedal re-grooving?

Location
SW Indiana
The ridges on the clutch pedal of my new generation tractor are worn down, and my foot often slips across it.

Is there a good way to re-groove the pedal to restore foot traction?

(In case it matters, the tractor is a 1964 3020 Diesel PowerShift.)

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

A good sharp file on a rainy day in the shop.

I am working on a JD 444C payloader and I used wire brushes on a die grinder and a needle scaler to clean out rust and asphalt on the pedals.
