I installed a pertronix ignition on my 1952 8 N . I used a pertronix flame thrower coil , autolite 437 spark plugs gapped at 0.30 and didn't change the plug wires . The tractor acts like it is running on two cylinders . Any help would be appriciated .

Thanks

Let me reach into my bag of random ignition problem answers and pull one out:

Plug wires in wrong order.

Sounds human related, retrace your steps. Of course I'm assuming you had a perfect running tractor to begin with and you followed the instructions and the used wires are correct for an electronic ignition. Was the choice of an electronic ignition just an upgrade or you trying to fix a problem?

Mixed up plug wire as in you have the firing order wrong or the bushings in the distributor could be bad which can cause the module not to sense things as it should and in turn not fire in some places
