Phone apps for field work?

I'm trying to hand off jobs that I've always done to my son, who is great with technology, but more challenged with the logical and practical. Was wondering if there are any good phone apps that would assist someone spraying or fertilizing so they don't leave gaps? -Thanks in advance, Matt.

Check into Field Bee. I've used their free trial a few times spreading fertilizer and it worked great off my smart phone.

Your phone's GPS is not accurate enough to use it as an effective guidance system.

My experience with an app called "Field Margin" and it shows me zig-zagging back and forth, driving in circles, when I'm going in a straight line. I've tried it spraying and plowing, and the results are the same. This is because your phone's GPS's margin of error is something ridiculous like 15'. An agricultural GPS is accurate down to the inch.

Could very well be, but when I spread my friends field cause he was layed up it worked perfect, and in fact he stated that it never came came out right, either long on product or short on product. And, this was done at night, under the cover of darkness to beat the incoming rain. Depends on location and how many satelites you are receiving from , possibly? Put it this way, it was better than nothing.
