Claas Jaguar forager chopping 3rd cut Ryegrass & White Clover mixture. Notice the extra circular tank on the rear of the forager above the rear wheel. These contain additive which is sprayed onto the crop to aid fermentation of the grass.

A lot of the forage additives used today are a combination of different kinds of bacteria that improve fermentation thus energy and digestibility of the forage for specifically dairy cows.

Reminds me of my youth!!! Trying to load oppesite side of 53 Chev 2ton? and nearly tearing the fender off by Int. H. And the look on everyones faces cause we were MID TEENS an knew all bout HELL!!!!! LOL Wayne

This Marshall trailer is typical of the style built over here, monocoque steel body fitted with extra silage sides. The body tapers wider at the rear to aid discharge of the contents.
The 12 ton capacity of this one is 18 feet long x 8 feet wide and with silage sides is 1000 cubic feet. Retail price about $22,000 with silage sides, twin super single truck wheels & tyres, suspension axles, light etc. They can be built with a sprung loaded drawbar to help take the bounce off the tractor drawbar at high speed.

You sure have some great looking, late model equipment in your photos- Lots of guys in the states still using older Olivers and others for these jobs- I'm getting the feeling that farming must be pretty lucrative "across the pond".
