Note the fixtures & fittings are more luxurious than those the peasants' had. There are sleeping chambers, a deer antler trophy, and the sword & shield.
The site was occupied for several hundred years until the Romans conquored England. They destroyed the village and its earth defencive walls. The people then lived in housing elsewhere nearby with no defensive walls.
