Uh-Huh. A reason to change your handle.
What is it NOW? 3 tractors?

So 3 tractors means you only have 3 implements.

Remember, each implement needs it's own tractor.

Front Loader -w- 4 way bucket (Split Bucket)
Backhoe
Log Grapple
Snow Blade
Pallet Forks
Tiller
Plow
Disc
Spike Tooth Harrow
Brush Hog
Rear Pallet Forks
Boom Pole

Now if all the tractors for all those implements ran, it would be a good thing, maybe.
I am beginning to thin out the mechanical herd.

The serial # is 147318 which makes it a 55 according to the fena website, and yes it looks to have never been repainted nor molested. Now the bad news, it shows signs of water damage. The first sign was the one I should have spotted had it not been for my enthusiasm - fresh oil, plus po saying it held antifreeze. It has no provision for a ps pump. The valve cover has the milk up top and rusty rockers. Plan to drain oil, pressurize with oil pan off and hope it's not cracked down below. As for my handle that was back in the good old days when with only 2 tractors I could remember which one had the oil changed.

While researching the 10 different color codes on FENA they have no history for what's painted green which is code 5. I may be wrong on it being a 55 as not understanding what (5/1956-12/1957)* is. Does the 5 at the front mean 1955 or are those the months?

There was no green beige in 55. The early 55 was green and gray. Someone may have painted a 55 this color but not from factory. Only in 57 green beige from the factory. I'll look up what serial number's was painted this in 57. I thought FENA web showed the colors and serial number. MHF was painting different colors seeing what people liked before it chose a color for the tractors when it became MF.

Months-5/1956=May 1956 12/1957=December 1957

By Fena's own admission their numbers are approximate, It's getting torn apart anyway so somewhere a repaint will show up but this thing surely looks original.

If these numbers(5/56-12/57) are on left side transmission housing this is when it was cast. Should be 3 numbers. Tag on left side dash under steering wheel is date of tractor. 1957 serial number started 171741.

The 5/56-12/57 numbers are what FENA had for green belly tractors and say an unknown few of the early versions were green with beige sheet metal. Since the first ones came out in 55 and a few of the early models were that color then early would be in 55 I would think. I will look at casting numbers and post those also. Thanks, Miner.
