A comment by my then 10 year old, tractor loving, son had me thinking.......We were figuring out how to stash a couple of auction picks (early Case items) and we were looking at a line north of the barn of older eqpt. Young son said "dad - If move these 2 in from the back side of the row, rather then the front, Mom will never notice 'cuz the grass won't be bent.............." Felt guilty at the time, now I think he was being raised right........

That looks like a fair chunk of a tractor. How many hp would that be? I try to buy the two tone tractors , and my wife don't know how many I have ,so long as they aren't in the same yard at the same time Keep some at one farm, some at the other. If she asks me some thing like "this one looks new " , I just say oh must be just the way the sun is shining on it. Not real sure it is working, she might be catching on.

damn you guys are lucky, I have one of these torn down, but have given up looking for parts tractors, yours even has the hitch, you are way ahead of me even being stuck

It appears that every thing but the front axle and bolster is the same as a late SC. What parts do you need? Steve

I have a good block with a recent rebuild for an early sc, took
it out to put the correct big bore engine back in!!

The 1953 and 1954 SCs should make around 30hp-32hp pto in good stock condition. They do noticeably better with M&W overbore sleeves and pistons, and can easily exceed 34hp with minor modifications.

Late model SC have a front hub with 3 bolt for the 16 inch wheel ( like on DC) and 5 bolt 15 inch wheels. I'm not sure when it's started my 53 has the duel bolt pattern . Not sure about the 16 inch 3 bolt but my 15 inch 5 bolt wheels has the 4 holes to bolt on the frount wheel weights to. As others have said that weight is use on the pressed steel wheel with 4 J hooks .

That's a decent looking tractor, I have an SC-4 with eagle hitch that is in similar condition but your fenders look better then mine. Its hard to tell from the pics but it looks like the bottoms of your fenders aren't rusted out like mine. I also have a SC-4 that is a straight draw bar tractor but it is painted. I posted a picture of it in an earlier SC-4 thread.

The late adj wide front DC's also have the 3 and 5 bolt hubs. I have a Case bulletin that gives the serial number break for the change.
Here is a pic of my late DC with the dual bolt hubs.
