Great Pictures !!! Seemed like I was at the show myself, it's always nice to see all kinds of Old Iron no matter what the color. They are all unique in their own way. Mike

Great photos. Thanks for sharing. Dad took me to Dalton probably close to 50 years ago. Looks like I need to make a return trip.

John, If I remember rite , Allis used there own engine in the "L" crawler. I think that was the eng. that could be converted to burn low cost fuel also . It was a little different . clint

Hi John

Your comments regarding the photo of the Allis Chalmers "L" crawler, you mention the two carbs, yes that is an Allis Chalmers engine which runs on gasoline. However Allis did also build the model "LO" which was a spark (magneto) ignition, low compression diesel (Hesselman desgn )
There is an "LO" not to far from where I live here in New Zealand. I do beleive that there was 5 of them originally sold here new.

Other than the fact that it runs and drives and the hydraulics work I really don't know where it's from. About 1/4 scale, diesel too.

Couple of years ago there was a ton Case stuff there, not much this year.
