Pipe Threader (Manual)

Did you back the threader up every quarter turn before trying
to take a next quarter turn on threads? Same procidure for
threading bolts? And plenty of oil?

I've got 1 pipe die that adjusts to cuts threads on 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", & 2" pipe.

And Nye, but they might be obsolete. I found mine at a Thrift store and they work fine, but they are at least 50 years old. $35 for 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4 and 1'', with ratcheting holder and extension arm. steve

(quoted from post at 08:56:49 02/09/23) We use plenty of oil cutting threads. The Harbor Freight dies still peeled threads randomly.

What do you mean by "peeled threads"?

Not to answer for him but on my HF threader it would literally peel away whole parts of metal instead of actually threading. Or sometimes it would double up on threads. The dyes were just so cheap it was a true waste of money.
