Piston Hydraulic Pump Bearing Ring

I am trying to rebuild my hydralic pump on a 53 Jubilee. It has the round piston pump style. I am down to the last part which is the bearing sleeve. I have tried the approach of using the oil seal to bang it out, now I have nothing left of it to use. I need some help. Any ideas or advice. My field is starting to get a little tall out there.

The easiest way to get the bearing race/cup out is to cut it out with a torch or weld a bead all the way around it and it will them almost fall out.

The cup/race and the needle bearing will have to be replaced with this method of course.

There is a way to use a bolt and nut to make a tool that you can put into the back side of the race and tighten the nut to wedge it into the back of the race/cup. The bolt head has to be ground to an edge on one side to hang over the back of the race and after the nut is tightened by turning it counterclockwise you can then use a pumch/drift to knock the race out. With this process you might be able to save the needle bearing but actually the needle bearing should be replaced anyway.

Be sure to look good at the pump shaft. The shaft will wear on ones side only and leave a groove where the seal runs and also where the needle bearing runs will wear one sided and if it is worn this way the shaft should be replaced as this condition will allow the shaft to push off to one side and even the new seal will leak air.
