Piston pump

On reassembly of the pump end plate with new parts installed, I am left with this gap between the housings when tightened down. I dont recall the gap being this great on disassembly. Is this normal?

Trying to post photo. Says begin upload but not posting after submit.

(quoted from post at 16:17:36 04/06/21) They all have a space there, but I can't tell for sure if your gap is too much or not. Yours looks wider than this one I see on EBAY.

Bolt torque around 44#?

Thanks. The pump went on fine and I have my lift back. Its strong and fast. Curiously, if I stand on the lift with no implement, I get rapid vibration while lifting which I think it was Dean who said that might indicate sticking piston(s) but it snatches my heavy Ford bush hog no hesitation. I did not replace the pistons, perhaps they are worn and maybe I should have.
Many thanks too all for input on my several posts on this rebuild.

ust looking at some of my old notes, I say, that if one of 6 pistons had a problem, an observer "might" be able to detect 20 pulses per second at ~1500 engine rpm (540 @ PTO). I expect the pulsations are much slower than that, but ??????????????
