I know some of you have followed my saga of getting tire chains on this tractor.
So I finally firured out plan B.
I sold these chains to my pal Kenny about 1 1/2 years ago.
So I asked him if I could buy them back.
No way. Even though he has no need for them and has a couple of sets this size.
Waaa.
But he did offer to let me use them for as long as I like.
Hmmm. Posession is 9/10s of the law isn't it?
Chains? What chains?
wink
They don't put as much iron on the ground as I had wanted but they'll sure help out.
This may be the latest I've ever gotten ready for winter. But at last I'm ready.

By the time he has forgotten who he loaned them to, you will have collected enough chain to do a straight length between each H, right down the center. :)

On second thought, that would probably chew at the tire lug ends.

I was under the impression that on the DUO GRIPS, the H patterns were closer together.

So if you put close-together H's on those super Ladder chains you made, they would be waaay better than the store bought Duo's.

Had a set like that I ran on a 860, then a 841.
They worked well in the snow.
a little thump, thump, thump on hard ground, but not too bad.
Here is the overkill I run now.
Had 3 old sets laying around.
Muscled em all on.
tires are loaded too.
I never get stuck.
Sounds like a crawler driving it around.....

Just curious.
What is the typical link size on the tire chains for these tractors?

For instance on a duo link setup, are the vertical bars different in size from the side chains? Are the Duo link's again different in size from the rest of the setup?
