Is there still a market for plastic plates ?

I have a bunch of jd plates some are dads, they hang on a wall and a memory for me. 15 years ago I got some from a local seed company.

If you are close to Amish country I would say yes as a lot of the Amish still use the horse drawn planters or the early tractor drawn planters with the clutch lift from before the hydrolic lift that they would need a engine driven hydrolc pump to raise the planter and most Amish farms are not big enough to aford something like that. And forget about the big international seed companys as grades seed to them is not wort handling. Find small local seed companys in Amish area and they can probably find somebody that would want them. I have several Amish communities around me and when I was still able to do things I worked with then finding and furnishing and rebuilding machinery that they were having trouble finding locally to them.

Never around an Allis planter. But what I have read the Deere plates fit in an Allis Planter. The horse drawn Deere plates with the center fits directly, the newer tractor plates with the open center you have to use the center piece that drives the plate. Think I got this from the plastic plate site.. only All tractor planters used that center piece, horse planters no. Had Deere except for a few years had an Oliver. So check the plate site to find out if my memory is correct or not.

You are correct. Lincoln Ag Products sells the adapters for using the "modern" Deere plates in AC planters.
