Plasma torch

Anybody want to share some secrets to proper use of a plasma torch? I just got a new one and need a little guidance with things like correct distance from work piece to nozzle etc. Any help will be appreciated.

I would say the greatest secret with a plas torch is that your incoming air be dry,dry,dry. Just a small amount of moisture will distroy the tip and flame. Be sure to drain compressor everyday and check inline dryers. Have at least one dryer at the back of the plas torch. A dryer by the compressor doesn"t do much good in removing the moisture. Just my 2cents worth.
