Please Help 715 Combine!!!

Ok, so my dad informs me today that our combine has some problems. The main issue is that he pretty much lost oil pressure and the engine was making a bunch of racket (lifters?). Its a 715 hydro with the diesel engine. Also, he informs me that it has slowly been losing oil pressure over time and that the front and rear crank seals are leaking. It doesn"t smoke or excessively use oil, but the slow loss of oil pressure has me worried. Could it just be the oil pump or is it something more serious? Please help, we"re in the middle of wheat harvest and don"t have a bunch of money to spend on it after all the damage we recently had from the flood.

Sounds to me that she is way past bearing time as in mains and rods and maybe cam bearings. I know this is not what ya want to hear but this is what i think .When they start to leak out the seals then it tell me that either the seals are shot or that the crank is moving up and down more then it should be and along with the slow loss of oil pressure this is my guesstamation. .

Maybe you could use a heavier grade of oil teporarily to get done? Tractor vet got it right- seems like bearing time.

Sounds like the engine is going south quickly.I wouldnt risk ruining the crankshaft.It could be a bad oil pump but the damage is probably already done.
