plow identification

I bought this plow at an estate auction in NC. It was so unique looking (to me), I HAD to have it. COULDN'T SEE IT ENDING UP AT THE SCRAP YARD. Please help me to find out what I bought. Thanks in advance for any and all info.

That is a McCormick C-2000 Disk Plow made for the small point fast hitch tractors like the Farmall Super C, 200, and 230 tractors. It was also made in a one point fast hitch version for the Farmall 100, 130, and 140 tractors. Many found today are missing the gauge wheel or at least the rim and tire portion.

Yours is a beautiful restoration. I'm glad I saved this one. Are there parts breakdowns that you know of? It looks like I have a lot of work to do to get your level. Thanks for sharing. Mine is complete.

Parts books that would have all fast hitch implements for the Farmall 230, etc. tractors are available. Look for F21-1A McCormick Parts Catalog Farm Implements for use with Farmall 200 and 230 Tractors. I have one for $35 plus shipping and handling so $45 to 50 total. The earlier version would be F21-1 but is essentially the same. Where did yours come from? Complete and in good condition is a big plus for me.

Correction: That is a model C-200, not C-2000. Sometimes the brain and fingers do not communicate. If I can do that 'restoration' you or anyone else can do it too.

I would be interested in obtaining that manual from you. Let me know how we can make that happen. I found this one in an estate auction in a little spot called Hudson, NC. I think the man died owing the county money, because the clerk of court was involved. Truth be told, I got it more as an after thought. I was interested in a nine tine cultivator because it looked like it was a Harry Ferguson 9B0-20. Now I think I got a Ford copy.

Nice color combination. I can relate to your purchase of something unusual. I about bought a terrace plow once. Was a two bottom but also had an auger on it and was hooked to power take off. I took a picture. Will post if can find it.

Found it. Here is that plow.

Guess only one bottom. Also good for drainage ditch work. Posted here just for interest.

That is an IH #8 plow converted to a terracing plow by Servis of Dallas, TX. IH partnered with them on the terracing plow and a blade for the front of an M for making terraces. The early versions had a straight through PTO shaft to power the auger. Later versions had a 3 speed gear box as well. One can readily find videos of them in action throwing dirt up to 30 feet. Some literature shows purchase price for an M, terracing plow, and front blade for something less than $2,000 and one could make one mile of terrace in a day. If I am lucky I can find that piece of literature in my stack of brochures.
