I remember when I was about ten the neighbor would get out in a fall morning and plow with his JB A with a three bottom plow. One could hear it for a mile.

I enjoyed them pics. As a very young child I used to enjoy watching and listening to the nieghbors plow and eighty acre feild with 2 John Deere 730 deisels and 4 bottem plows. Across road Tracy's did it with a 656 deisel and a 4 bottom plow. My uncle plowed hundereds of acres a year with an IH 806 turbo and 6 18's with a harrow. Boy farming is different today around here. How many acres were turned over that day. Was it a "plow day event" or just neighbors helping each other out?

These pictures remind me of Farm Progress shows years ago when they plowed with a bunch of tractors but with bigger plows incl. 12 bottoms.

Great pictures! Love to see those old diesels working hard and puffin black smoke. Chris
