plowing with a cub

I am stumped but I never plowed before. I hooked the correct plow to a Cub including rock staft etc. I turned the draw bar around like I have on a Pony with a plow. I went to an existing garden we have and whem I put the plow down it just slide along the ground. The only thing I can come with is tire size the tractor I have the plow on have larger tires than were on cubs from the factory I think!!!!! Any help will be great including telling where to look for artiles on plowing. Thanks Steve Lambert

What is it, "National Can't Figure Out How to Plow With a Cub Week?"

This is the FOURTH thread I've seen on this in the last couple of days.

One more, and we'll have enough people to warrant a seminar!

Okay, here's the quick-n-dirty:
1. Drawbar mounted backwards on FRONT mounting lugs.
2. Depth control mounted outside of right fender and adjusted so it lowers drawbar to within 4" of the ground.
3. Plow mounted to the right corner holes in the drawbar.
4. Sharp plow point. A worn point will not dig.

No doubt about the large tires get the manual and they will state which size tores you need to have. Then get a sharp point on the plow.

Its garden season. My wife was asking me last night how hard it was to hook the tiller onto our cub (apparently she's tired of waiting for me to do it).

I had the same problem with my Cub and plow a few years ago. I put a few extra washers on the bolt above the drawbar. This allowed the point of the plow to point down and will help the plow draw better.
