What size plows and by what manufacturer would be proper for a 1947 Farmall A. Honestly don"t know much about plows, any help would be appreciated.
 
My 46 A has a IH mounted plow. its 14" i think that its a model 91 or 92. it has a exhuast lift but thay did make them with a hand lift. hope that this helps you. Bob
 
If you are looking for plows for an A, I know a guy who has a set. I think he would like to sell them, as he is just using them as lawn ornaments. They are in MA. He sold the tractor a couple of yrs ago, buyer didn't want them.
 
I had the 16-inch moldboard on this A. Hal
PS: Sure plowed nice too.
