Plug on master cylinder

I found this old thread while searching for a solution to this very problem. I just finished installing the brake valve on a 5210 this afternoon only to find that oil comes pouring out of a hole in the valve housing. I'm assuming there was probably a ball pressed in there before the valve came off because it wasn't leaking there. It was leaking at the spool seal on one side. Somewhat of a surprise (and a few choice swear words) to find that. Never noticed the open hole while I was banging the thing around taking things apart and putting it all together, just assumed it was all one solid casting so I had no reason to give it a second thought. I don't see any mention of said ball in any parts diagrams so I'm guessing at this point I'm stuck trying to figure out what to use to plug the hole? Not in an easy spot to measure, but I'm guessing it's probably about 1/4". I can slide a pick inside and don't feel any threads. Maybe some else has run across this before?
