PO horse drawn equipment color

Getting ready to paint some old P&O horse drawn equipment. One item is a 1 row walk behind corn planter with square seed box (everything is metal including the handles). The other is about a 30" wide walk behind cultivator with wooden handles. What color were they originally painted? Sorry I do not have pictures at this time...they are not geographically close to me until the weekends and I keep forgetting to take a picture of them.

Go to the "location" of Bruce Flatmoe's post about restoring the paint on his P&O Cultivator Lister. This machines paint is typical of other P&O machines and seems to me that McCormick continued this paint scheme on all McCormick Canton ILL.Works produced machinery after they bought out P&O.The Home position of Smokstak has tons of Antique Equipment info.Fun to tour the site.JH
