Since you've gotten suggestions from fill-in-the-pond to full on range war, I'm fascinated to find out where you land. In the meantime, here's another off the wall idea since signs are cheap.Seems that a pond on my property has become free domain for poachers. Not only do they steal my fish but they tear up my fence between the road where they park and the pond. In Texas I have satisfied the requirements for a $2,000 fine for encroachment. They only come at night.
I have a lot of farm equipment that they can screw up big time if they are of a mind to. That has deterred me from doing any more than fix the fence that they tear up.
Interested in any inputs from you folks as to how you handle situations like this.......Is the right thing to do is to do nothing?????
I had a friend that had such a problem and got into it with the poachers.....since he had no equipment on that parcel of land, they just ROTENOINED, or how ever you spell it, his pond and killed all his fish....besides the loss the stink was unbearable.
Appreciate comments.
I would stay cautious and legal. Once one side starts the dirty tricks then it is anything goes for paybacks too.Calling the proper authorities is, of course, the proper and probably best thing to do. But just for your consideration: Do you have a set of chain or diamond harrows, the style with long points for aggressive tillage on one side and shorter points for shallower tillage on the other (i.e. points will be facing upward no matter which side is lying down)? Those make a pretty passable and hard-to-spot spike belt for vehicles with pneumatic tires. Of course, you're not allowed to purposefully and intentionally lay one down as a spike belt to stop/wreck vehicles, and you could get in a lot of hot water by (admitting to) doing so. But there's no law (at least not around here) saying you can't store your own equipment on your own land however and wherever you want...
These examples of how yters react when annoyedis why Norman doesn't allow them to discuss poly-ticks,ginda's id and race hosses? Left unchecked, it would become Hatfields and McCoys all over again.
Ginda just showed up 5 years ago, opened a foot spa/ nail salon and folks have been asking every since what ginda is. Some think ginda is a double agent in hiding, some say ginda is a she, some say ginda is a him and some say ginda is a shim. We shouldn't discuss ginda's id on YT because someone always insists on pictures as proof and you know where that could lead. I'm not really interested in ginda's id and hope I'm not the first to find out.Very childish aren't they.
By the way, what is "ginda's id"?
