Points for a 3500

Is there a quality set of points available for a 3500 industrial? I believe it is the same engine as the 3000. I don't mind paying more for a quality brand that can actually open up for the correct gap and the contacts are aligned nicely.

You could order a new contact set from a New Holland dealer. It’s probably a stock item.

Take the old set of points to a NAPA or O'Reilly's auto parts and I bet they can find a set for you

Not 100% sure, but I think the original Ford part number for this application would be C5AF12171C which would make it the same as a Ford car. Try giving that number to NAPA to see if it matches up. But don’t get their cheap mileage plus line of parts because they suck.

old, you sure must be lucky to have good countermen (or ladies) at those autoparts stores in your area!

Around here, if you walked in with an obscure oil seal or set of breaker points you'd get the biggest blank stare EVAH!

I ordered some last month off of amazon that were "Standard" brand and the box said "made in china". However they did work ok out of the box. Sold the tractor, so sadly I will have no long term report to share. But it did start perfect!!!!!! for the month or so I used the tractor for shredding the walking trail and around the hay field.

I think the lower quality T Series line that Standard sells is made in China.
