Pony Oil Pump and Engine Block

Anybody know the differences between early and later MH Pony engine blocks?
The early block uses two different oil pump parts than the later block - Stud for the idler gear and pump cover against the block.
Will a pump from an early block interchange onto a later block?
What was the change in oil pump parts and engine block?

I need a new block for an early Pony, and wondering if the two bare blocks are interchangeable.

There had been some weeping of coolant from an earlier repair, and after torching off a ton of JB Weld, here's what I found:

Unfortunately the cracking is severe. There are two cracks, the lower one is about 3 inches long, and the upper one about 6 inches long, wrapping from the side up over the top onto the deck. A bit much for repair.

This block has a casting number of N62A 602

The AGCO Parts Book lists two number in the diagram for CYLINDER AND CRANKCASE:
1500396M92
&
1501099M91

Under description, they only show 1500396M92. This says:
Cylinder And Crankcase Assembly (Stripped), Serial 23379 Up

At the bottom of the description listings there are special notes that say:
****************************************
For Repairs For 1500396M92, 1500397M92,
1500398M92, 1501090M92, 1501091M92.
Previous To Serial 23379 Supply
1-1501094M1 Stud, 1-1501093M11 Cover

Seems like there was a change to the oil pump, requiring a different engine block, or vice versa

I have a Continental N62 out of MH Pony sitting in my shop it is in need of a compete OH I'm located in WC MN can't remember about the oil pumps its been years since I overhauled the N62 in my Earthmaster
